Back in July 2016, Nike made an announcement that they were bringing back the illustrious and renowned “Nike Basketball Academy.” The 2016 Nike Basketball Academy took place in Southern California, and included some of the most elite high school and college athletes. The local airport hangar in Southern California was transformed into a state-of-the-art, topnotch basketball training facility that honest the finest amateur athletes. The 2015 Nike Basketball Academy was hosted at the Barker Hangar in the Santa Monica Airport. The 2017 Nike Basketball Academy took place just this week in Los Angeles and in commemoration of the special event, Nike whipped up an entire pack of sneakers.
Prior to the 2015 Nike Basketball Academy, three separate camps had already been hosted by Nike, but then they decided to instead focus their efforts upon a single major event that year. Thus, it has been two years since Nike Basketball Academy Packs have arrived in commemoration of the event ever since. At first, it was revealed that the 2017 Nike Basketball Academy Pack includes a KD 10, a LeBron 14 and a PG 1 colorway. As can be seen, the respective iteration of each of these three models features a varying color schemes, but apparently, they are not the only models included in this pack.
The 2017 Nike Basketball Academy Pack also includes an Air Force 1 Low and a Kyrie 3 colorway. The Air Force 1 Low iteration appears to be featuring suede uppers and seems to be equipped with Gum Rubber soles. The Kyrie 3 iteration appears to be military-themed, with uppers dressed up in a Navy hue, while also sports Black- and Metallic Gold-colored detailing. The Nike Academy shield badge can also be spotted over the heels, much like the rest of the sneakers that are a part of this pack. This Kyrie 3 iteration is also equipped with Gum Rubber soles that add the finishing touch.
At first, there were doubts about whether or not any of the sneakers from the 2017 Nike Basketball Academy Pack would be hitting the shelves any time soon, but it turns out that they already have. However, the Nike Air Force 1 Low, KD 10, Kyrie 3, LeBron 14 and the PG 1 from the pack arrived exclusively at Sports Academy HQ, which is situated in Thousand Oaks, California.
