It is a well-known fact within the sneaker community that Nike tends to whip up special kicks for the Holidays and apparently this trend will continue as the December Nike releases 2015 begin arriving. A photo of a Candy Cane-themed Nike SB Dunk has popped up and it is quite obvious that this colorway has been designed for this year’s Holiday Season. As of now, there is no news regarding whether or not Nike even intends to drop this sneaker around Christmas, but we will keep our readers updated.
Back in 2013 when Christmas was just a few months away, sneakerheads were provided a look at a Christmas themed “Ugly Sweater” colorway of the Nike SB Dunk. The sneaker that featured a Christmas-themed design was made up of an upper dressed up predominantly in grey. The inner lining and the tongue sports red accents, while inner lining and Nike Swoosh are both covered in Pine Green. The upper of this sneaker also features graphic designs of snowflakes and snowmen, while the finishing touches have been added to this holiday sneaker in the form of a white midsole, green outsole and grey laces. The Nike SB Dunk High “Ugly Christmas” made its retail debut on December 1st, 2013, kick starting the holiday festivities of that year.
This year Nike is once again looking forward to Christmas and this time they are planning to drop a Nike SB Dunk Low that has been dressed up like a candy cane. It is obvious that it is a Christmas inspired, Holiday themed sneaker because of the alternating red and white stripes that cover its entire upper. Further adding to the holiday vibes this colorway gives off, the inner lining is covered in green.
It should be obvious that this new, upcoming SB Dunk Low colorway has been freshly whipped up by Nike, so details are currently scarce. While it should be obvious that it will receive a December Nike release 2015, the exact release date will probably be announced once the Holiday Season is nearer.
