On August 18th, adidas had dropped an entire NMD collection, providing stateside sneakerheads with an opportunity to choose from 19 different colorways of the model. By August 26th, the entire collection had also arrived in Europe as well, but it was accompanied by an “Olive” colorway of the adidas NMD R1, which never arrived at retailers in the United States. The adidas NMD R1 has been one of the topmost leading models of Summer 2016, having featured everything from breathable mesh to camouflaged woven textile to Primeknit uppers. Oddly enough, it seems that adidas has dropped another almost-similar NMD R1 “Olive,” which is once again a Europe-exclusive.
The adidas NMD R1 is not only eye-catching because of stylish it is, it has also proven to be unbelievably comfortably. Its uppers are flexible, while it is equipped with a full-length Boost midsole cushioning system. The NMD R1 is also very easy to wear, whether it has ventilated mesh uppers or woven Primeknit uppers. This is the reason adidas Originals has been doing so well with this silhouette and this is why sneakerheads can expect more installments to be added to the NMD lineup. It would have made better sense if this other NMD R1 “Olive” iteration had arrived state, but adidas decided to drop it in Europe.
The earlier adidas NMD R1 “Olive” from back in August featured mesh uppers dressed up entirely in Olive Green, which gave it a monochromatic look. Tonal Three Stripe branding could also be spotted on the side panels, while it also sported Black-colored accents and White made an appearance over its midsoles. This new NMD R1 “Olive” is almost-identical too, with its uppers also dressed up in a shade of Olive Green. Its midsoles are also clean White, but instead of Black, this version features more White-colored accents on its uppers. Since this is a Europe-exclusive, only international sneakerheads will be able to cop a pair of this adidas NMD R1 “Olive” from retailers like JD Sports.
