Less than a week remains until the winners of the 2017–18 NBA season awards are revealed. Although the Washington Wizards won the NBA Championship this year, it will likely be James Harden of the Houston Rockets who will receive the NBA Most Valuable Player Award. Most expert speculators might not have the same opinion when it comes to all the other awards, but they all probably agree that James Harden certainly deserves the NBA MVP Award. Even adidas seems to be aware of and has acknowledged this likelihood. In fact, they are congratulating him in advance by releasing special “MVP” colorways of three signature Harden models.
Year after year, James Harden has proven to be one of the top point and shooting guards in the NBA. Back in the 2016, the NBA named Stephen Curry the Most Valuable Player of that season. However, it was James Harden who was chosen received the MVP Award in the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Awards. Throughout this season, he has been scoring more than 30 points per game, which makes the 2017–18 NBA season his best ever. In addition to his own achievements, the Houston Rockets came very close to defeating the Washington Wizards in the Western Conference Finals.
James Harden may not have won the NBA MVP Award yet, but it is imminent that he will. Hence, adidas is already paying tribute to him with these special, luxurious-looking “MVP” iterations of his signature sneaker models, namely the Harden BTE X, the Harden Vol. 2 and the Harden Vol. 2 LS. All three of these iterations are dressed up in a combination of Black and a Soft Blue hue, while featuring Metallic Gold-colored accents throughout, including an “MVP” emblem on each of them. These “MVP” iterations of the Harden BTE X, Harden Vol. 2 and Harden Vol. 2 LS are scheduled to retail on June 23rd, 2018.
