The Ultra Boost 4.0 is one of the most popular running sneakers from adidas to date. The adidas Ultra Boost 4.0 made its retail debut as a women’s exclusive on November 3rd, 2017 in three different colorways, namely “Ash,” “Core Black” and “Triple White,” each of which retailed at a price of $180. As of lately, the Ultra Boost 4.0 seems to have been one of the leading models of choice for all the collaborative releases by adidas and Parley for the Oceans. Although it isn’t, this latest adidas Ultra Boost colorway featured here could easily be mistaken as another one of those Parley collaborative releases.
How Was The Ultra Boost 4.0 Different?
The adidas Ultra Boost 4.0 was unveiled back in October 2017. There was actually not a lot that set the Ultra Boost 4.0 apart from its predecessors. It was still equipped with the same Continental rubber outsoles, midsoles with Boost cushioning, and stabilizing heel and midfoot cages. Of course, the most unique element of the Ultra Boost 4.0 was its Primeknit uppers, which had been newly engineered to improve the neatness of their “ribbed” texture. Primeknit patterns were also featured on the heels, toe boxes and tongues, adding a touch of contrast. A brand new BOOST logo was also designed to appear on the insoles.
The adidas Ultra Boost 4.0 “Tech Ink”
It is because of its ocean-like color scheme that this Ultra Boost 4.0 may seem like it is a part of the ongoing adidas x Parley collaboration, which is not the case though. On the contrary, this iteration is dubbed “Tech Ink.” It is dressed in multiple shades of blue, primarily a Tech Ink Blue hue. A dark shade of Navy Blue appears over the heel cages while a lighter shade of Blue covers the midfoot cages, and Running White can be spotted over the “Three Stripes.” It also features Grey-colored “Ultra Boost” branding. This adidas Ultra Boost “Tech Ink” is currently available at a retail price of $180.
