Four Team USA swimmers, including Ryan Lochte, were celebrating and having a good time after performing at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics when they got robbed by armed individuals. Ryan Lochte, who recently won a gold medal in the Men’s 4x200m freestyle relay, was at the Club France nightclub on August 13, along with his Team USA teammates and Thiago Pereira, the Brazillian swimmer. Before they got mugged at gunpoint, they were indulging in Snapchat, showing off their high-end footwear, which included two Black-colored adidas Yeezy 350 Boost pairs. Both or either of the two 350 Boost iterations may have been the “Pirate Black.”
The photo above is the one Ryan shared on his Snapchat account of his and his teammates’ kicks, include the two 350 Boost pairs. He captioned the photo, “6k deep.” The adidas Yeezy 350 Boost “Pirate Black” had already retailed twice at a price of $200 earlier this year, once on February 19th and again in March, and it is currently not available. According to a report, someone even spent $10,000 to cop a pair on eBay. Ryan apparently loves the Yeezy Boost sneakers, so he even owns the original 350 Boost “Turtle Dove” and the “Oxford Tan” iteration.
Back in May, during a visit to Cuba with Kim Kardashian and their daughter, Kanye West was spotted rocking a never-before-seen adidas Yeezy 350 Boost Beluga rendition. Rumors began circulating that this new variation of the 350 Boost Beluga would eventually make its retail debut at some point later this year. The photo featured above is of that very sneaker and as can be seen, its uppers appear to have been upgraded to a woven construction, while its sole units remain the same. The sneaker is mostly pure White, but traces of Light Grey can also be spotted here and there. Based on the earlier rumors, this adidas Yeezy 350 Boost Beluga may hit the shelves on August 15th, or perhaps on a later date.
