Derrick Rose partook in 51 regular-season games during the 2014-15 NBA season. Despite the limited number of appearances, when compared to the previous three seasons ever since he had become the youngest NBA MVP, the number of games he participated in last season was much greater. It was unfortunate that the leg injuries he suffered one after another cut his season short. However, the adidas release 2015 of the debuting D Rose 6 “Home” was a sign of the brand’s belief that he would rise to the top again. This month, the “Road” colorway of his sixth signature shoe will also arrive at retailers.
Like its predecessor, the D Rose 6 also has the BOOST technology incorporated into it, which means that wearers will be able to take advantage of the remarkable comfort and energy it offers. As always, the D Rose 6 also features Chicago-inspired design elements as a nod to Derrick’s hometown. The Boost cushioning is present in both the forefoot and heel of the sneaker, while it is also equipped with a FITFRAME heel cage and straps. The herringbone traction pattern takes inspiration from woodgrain design and textures.
As a tribute to the Chicago flag, the D Rose 6 sports the same six-point star from the flag, which can be spotted at the base of the laces, while heel has six reflective lines on top of it. The upcoming “Road” colorway even utilizes the same color scheme as that of the Chicago Bulls jerseys, with an upper that is predominantly dressed up in ominous black. Red is the secondary color that makes an appearance through the sneaker in the form of accents, especially on the inner lining and tongue, while traces of white can also be spotted on the sole.
Detailed photos of this new colorway of Derrick Rose’s sixth signature sneaker had surfaced months ago. However, as per the schedule, the adidas release 2015 of the D Rose 6 “Road” will be taking place at adidas Basketball accounts this month on November 5th.
