Following an exhausting and wearying 7-game play off series, the Charlotte Hornets were not able to defeat the Miami Heat. Considering that Michael Jordan owns the franchise, it should be quite obvious that he was likely feeling quite disappointed by their loss. In fact, it would not be too farfetched to assume that deep down, the G.O.A.T. was probably thinking about coming out of retirement in order to aid his franchise towards victory. Of course, MJ’s days of suiting up for an on-court performance are long gone, which is why a sneaker like the returning Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” is sure to bring back memories.
Jordanheads may or may not have noticed but there has not been much official marketing from Jordan brand for the Air Jordan 12. However, that does not change the fact that the twelfth Air Jordan model has made frequent appearances on retail shelves in 2016. Even though Jordan Brand has not dropped any O.G. colorways of the silhouette yet, every colorway that has hit the shelves, over the course of the past few months, flew off of them almost instantly. Of course, there was never a doubt that Jordanheads would be lining up to cop a pair of the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game.”
Ever since receiving a proper retro treatment back in 2003, this will be the first time that the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” returns once again featuring a similar level of quality. Instead of using nubuck like the 2009 retro, this year’s version is once again has uppers made up of full-grain leather, which are partly covered in vivid red overlays. Moreover, the sneaker does not sport any unnecessary details that were not present on it when Jordan Brand had first introduced it.
Old school Jordanheads probably even still refer to this Air Jordan 12 colorway as the “Bred” iteration because of its black and red color scheme. Regardless of what it is called, the returning Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” is scheduled to retail at a price of $190 on May 28th of jordan release dates.
