On October 8th, 2017, WWE hosted its ninth Hell in a Cell PPV event. The main event was a Hell in a Cell match between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon, who happens to be WWE’s minority owner. Shane McMahon is known for being an avid sneakerheads, having close ties with Jordan Brand, and ever since his return back in February 2016, he has rocked numerous custom and popular Air Jordan sneakers. For his Hell in a Cell main event match, Shane’s sneaker of choice was the custom Air Jordan 32 iteration seen above. It seems a recently seen Air Jordan 32 PE pair has also become unexpectedly available.
Since before its retail debut, a myriad of different NBA players have laced up in various exclusive colorways of the Air Jordan 32. Russell Westbrook began teasing the Air Jordan 32 back in the beginning of August. Early in September, photos of Hornets and Michgian PEs of the Air Jordan 32 surfaced. Later in September, Mike Conley was spotted laced up in an all-yellow Air Jordan PE and on the same day, Kemba Walker was photographed rocking another Hornets-themed Air Jordan 32. It is the latter Air Jordan 32 “Charlotte Hornets” PE pair that an interested sneakerhead can now cop.
The Air Jordan 32 “Charlotte Hornets” PE that Kemba Walker was spotted wearing is actually being referred to as an “Away” version. Of course, it sports the official team colors of the Charlotte Hornets. Thus, its Flyknit uppers are dressed up in a Teal hue, while Black appears over its heel grooves, the “Jumpman” branding on the midsoles, its laces and the Jordan “Wings” branding on the tongues. Completing its Charlotte Hornets-inspired look, a Purple hue covers its entire rubber soles. Even an Orange hue can spotted over the basketball that is a part of the “Wings” logo.
The fact of the matter is that Jordan Brand has not officially dropped this sneaker, so it has not actually joined recent Jordan releases 2017. However, a size 14 pair of this Air Jordan 32 “Charlotte Hornets” PE has found its way on eBay and is currently available there at a price of $1,100, which is quite whopping yet not too outrageous.
