In celebration of the Year of the Dog, the Chinese New Year, Jordan Brand dropped not but two special Air Jordan releases 2018 just last month. One was a colorway of the Air Jordan 6 and the other was a nearly identical colorway of the Air Jordan 32. The knitted uppers of the Air Jordan 32 “Chinese New Year” were dressed up entirely in Black, with Gold, Green, Red and White appearing as a part of the fireworks-like detailing and floral embroidery that it featured. “2018” and some “Chinese” lettering could also be spotted the tongue tabs. The Air Jordan 32 “Chinese New Year” retailed for $200.
Two other Air Jordan 32 colorways also made their retail debut in February 2018. The first was the low-top “Free Throw Line,” which drew inspiration from the Michael Jordan’s victory in the 1998 Dunk Contest. The Air Jordan 32 Low “Free Throw Line” arrived at retailers on February 14, 2018 and retailed at a price of $160. The other was the Air Jordan 32 NRG “Italy,” a limited colorway of the silhouette’s lifestyle variation. Inspired by the Air Jordan 2, its uppers were made up Italian leather instead of flyknit. The Air Jordan 32 NRG “Italy” hit the shelves on February 28th, 2018 and retailed at a price of $200.
One of the two latest, upcoming colorways of the Air Jordan 32 is inspired by the University of North Carolina, where Michael Jordan used to study and began his amateur basketball career. A Kurim overlay can be spotted over its low-top uppers, which are dressed up entirely in University Blue. The second Air Jordan 32 colorway can also be regarded some of a university-inspired iteration since it is dressed up in the official colors of the University of Michigan. Thus, a balanced combination of Navy and Blue appear through over its Flyknit uppers and heel panels, which are made up of leather.
Both of the above colorways are scheduled to join this month’s Air Jordan releases 2018. The Air Jordan 32 “UNC” will retail at a price of $185 on March 9th and the Air Jordan 32 Low “Michigan” will retail for a price of $160 on the same date, i.e. March 9th, 2018.
