With its never-ending line of unique and stylish releases, Nike has kept the footwear industry on its toes by coming up with new and formidable designs. This makes Nike’s competitors stay on a constant alert, as well as giving Nike a chance to offer as much variety to its target markets as possible, thus, providing its customers with a larger freedom of choice. Back in 2009, Nike had once released an Air Max 90 colorway dubbed “Current” that comprised of a black and aqua colorway and had touches of patent leather visible. Comparitively, the upcoming Nike Air Max 90 Mid colorway featured here looks much stealthier.
The construction of the upper used a fusion of mesh and leather, but its leather what dominated the surface of the upper. The front of the upper was covered with mesh for added breathability, ventilation and light weight. The mesh design also provided a light weight material for use in the construction in order to reduce weight while not compromising on quality and design. The Nike swoosh was visible on the sides with an aqua patent leather fill-in. The laces had touches of contrasting colors. The sole had a mix of gray and black with aqua accents, with the mid sole matching the upper, and the outer sole colored in the respective matching hues as well. The heel of the shoe featured the air sole unit for added cushioning feel and an extra performance boost for the wearer.
Even though it does not have an official nickname, this Nike Air Max 90 Mid iteration can be dubbed “Triple Black” because of its all-Black color scheme that gives it quite an ominous yet stealthy look. Its uppers appear to be made up a combination of leather and synthetic textile, which makes it effectively lightweight and waterproof. Although the stateside retail debut of the sneaker has yet to take place, this Nike Air Max 90 Mid is already available overseas.
