Chris Paul is one of the Jordan Brand athletes to receive Air Jordan PE colorways every now and then, several of which have been iterations of the Air Jordan 4. For instance, Chris Paul was at the Alfred Coffee Melrose Place at 8428 Melrose Pl, Los Angeles for his Five Four pop-up event back in December 2017 and he was laced up in an Air Jordan 4 “Bred” PE. A month before that, his Air Jordan 4 “Clippers” PE was also unveiled. Most recently, Chris Paul apparently received a special PE colorway of the Air Jordan 3, which he rocked during the final game of the 2018 NBA Playoffs.
Of course, this is not Chris Paul’s first special Air Jordan 3 pair. Back in April 2017, Chris Paul went to head to head with Kobe Bryant in the latter’s final game prior to his retirement. Even though the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe was absolutely impressive in that game. As a farewell, Jordan Brand even whipped up an Air Jordan Kobe Pack that included an Air Jordan 3 and an Air Jordan 8. Chris Paul ended up receiving the Air Jordan 3 that was a part of that pack, but the special thing about his pair is that it bears Kobe’s autograph.
The latest Air Jordan 3 PE that Chris Paul has received from Jordan Brand is being referred to as the “Red Cement” iteration. This is likely because of the Red hue that appears over the elephant print overlays as well as over the collars, inner lining, lace eyelets and midsoles. The rest of the sneaker appears to be plain White, while some Black-colored detailing can be spotted too, such as the graphics of the elephant print overlays and the “Jumpman” logo on the tongues. Of course, as is the case with most Player Exclusive colorways, this one will likely not be joining upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018.
