Back in September 2014, there was a surge of people visiting Nike.com to purchase items that featured Derek Jeter’s “RE2PECT” branding. It was because Derek Jeter won his final game at the Yankee Stadium by hitting a walk-off single and then retired from the sport of profession baseball. By 2016, Derek Jeter was already affiliated with Jordan Brand, and in 2014, he was awarded the role and title of “Captain” of all the baseball players who are a part of the Jordan Brand family. Derek Jeter’s relationship with Jordan Brand continues, along with his signature “RE2PECT” releases, such as the following ones which are among Air Jordan releases 2018.
One of the two models from Jordan Brand to receive the “RE2PECT” treatment is the Jordan Relentless seen above. In case you are not familiar with it, the Jordan Relentless is a part of Jordan Brand’s men’s training shoe line. It is a lightweight trainer with uppers made up of mesh material and it happens to equipped with midfoot straps that secure the wearer’s feet. In the case of this Jordan Relentless “RE2PECT,” its mesh uppers are dressed up entirely in a Navy hue, paired with Sail-colored soles. Some Gunsmoke and Metallic-colored accents are featured too, along with the “RE2PECT” logo on the lateral side of each shoe.
As you may have figured out by now, the Air Jordan 11 Low has also received the “RE2PEC” treatment. This iteration of the model appears to have a premium aesthetic, considering that its uppers are made up of premium suede, dressed up entirely in Binary Blue. Mimicking the color scheme of the New York Yankees, Derek Jeter’s former team, it is also equipped with Sail-colored soles. One particularly special thing about this specific “RE2PECT” release is that each pair of this Air Jordan 11 iteration will come in a special packaging, as seen above.
Best of all, both of these sneakers have already joined recent Air Jordan releases 2018. The Jordan Relentless “RE2PECT” is already available at Nike.com at a price of just $100. The Air Jordan 11 “RE2PECT” has actually arrived than its scheduled release via Nike Early Access at a price of $200. However, it is officially set to hit the shelves on May 14, 2018 at retailers like Champs, Eastbay, Finish Line, Footaction, Footlocker, Kicks USA, and on Nike.com.
