Near the end of January, Jordan Brand unveiled the innovative Air Jordan 1 “Reimagined” Collection. The ingenious and unique thing about this collection was that it contained imaginative, reinterpreted variations of the Air Jordan 1, all of which were designed by female members of the Nike design team. This collection contained a total of five different Air Jordan 1 variations, all of which were completely plain White. They all ended up retailing at a prices ranging from $130 to $160. One of these women’s exclusive variations was the Air Jordan 1 Rebel, which will soon be making its way to retailers in some familiar colorways.
As February arrived, sneakerheads got their first detailed look at the Air Jordan 1 Rebel in a Wheat colorway. Out of all the variations from the Air Jordan 1 “Reimagined” Collection, the Rebel is perhaps the one that resembles the original design the most, while still featuring some noticeable and noteworthy reinterpretations. Over the course of the previous year, Jordan Brand has dropped several “Wheat” colorways, even one of the original Air Jordan 1 Retro High. Other than the “Wheat” colorway, Jordan Brand also seems to have whipped up two Rebel iterations, one inspired by a classic Air Jordan 1 colorway and the other from a more recent one.
The first is the Air Jordan 1 Rebel “Chicago.” Of course, it mimics the color scheme of the iconic Air Jordan 1 colorway that got its nickname from the Chicago Bulls. Hence, it is predominantly dressed up in a balanced combination of Red and White, with Black appearing over its inner lining and laces. The other one seems to have borrowed the color scheme of the more recent “Top 3” colorway of the Air Jordan 1. In addition to being dressed up in a combination of Black, Blue, Red and White, the “Nike Air” branding can actually be spotted over the inner side of each shoe.
As of now, it seems quite likely that all three of these sneakers will end up joining this year’s Jordan releases 2018, at some point or another. However, there are no precise release details or information for either of them, yet.
