Burn Rubber x PUMA Stepper-01

First Time Ever Burn Rubber & Puma Join Forces For This Stepper Colorway

In the past, Burn Rubber Sneaker Boutique has joined forces with a variety of footwear and sportswear brands like Reebok, New Balance and British Knights. In fact, Burn Rubber recently collaborated with Reebok back in May like many times before, which resulted in the creation of the Ventalator “Boblo Boat” in commemoration of the model’s 25th anniversary. However, this is the first time that Burn Rubber has teamed up with PUMA to mark the PUMA sneakers release 2015 of a special Stepper iteration that is inspired by a notable landmark from Detroit, the home city of the sneaker boutique.

Burn Rubber x PUMA Stepper-02Burn Rubber has never disappointed based on their previous collaborations. Whenever the sneaker boutique has teamed up with a brand, the colorways they tend to introduce always tend to be themed after geographic locations and well-thought-out, bringing out the best of the respective models. The upcoming Burn Rubber x Reebok Stepper is equally dope and has been creating quite the hype.

This time around, the geographical location that has served as the source of inspiration for this Burn Rubber collaboration is the Michigan Central Station. The renowned station, which is currently defunct, is located in the historic Corktown neighborhood in Detroit, the same city where the Burn Rubber Sneaker Boutique is also situated.

The premium leather upper of this PUMA Stepper is dressed up black and grey inspired by the station’s original concrete structure, while the padded suede ankle collar and translucent outsole of the sneaker is covered in creamy beige. This sneaker also appears to be equipped with a PUMA sidestripe, which is made of green suede.

Burn Rubber x PUMA Stepper-04The Michigan Central Station was once the world’s largest rail station and today it has inspired such a monumental collaboration that has never taken place before. Although the Burn Rubber x PUMA Stepper is not Halloween-themed, its PUMA sneakers release 2015 will actually take place on October 31 and sneakerheads will be able to cop it from Burn Rubber’s official site at a price of $140.
