This Jordan 2 Low “University Blue” Releases Alongside The Jordan 9 Low “Pantone”

Perhaps it may seem hard to believe but the Air Jordan 2 Low has arguably been on one Jordan Brand’s favorite low-top models top as a part of their summer 2016 Air Jordan releases. This year, the Air Jordan 2 Low made its comeback in the “Chicago” colorway that Michael Jordan himself had worn on the court 22 years ago, back in 1994. Recently on May 7th, Jordan Brand once again dropped the Air Jordan 2 Low in a rendition dressed in almost entirely in Infrared and dubbed “Bright Mango” for some reason. This latest iteration is paying tribute to the G.O.A.T.’s Alma matter.

As for the Air Jordan 2 Low “UNC” seen here, its nickname should likely make it obvious that it is intended to take Jordanheads back to Michael Jordan’s college days. Fans of the G.O.A.T. are probably well-versed in his history, so they know that he used to play as a part of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels back when he was in college.

This also the reason UNC-themed Air Jordan colorways have always been dressed up in a combination of Carolina Blue and White, which is also the case with this upcoming Air Jordan 2 Low. A similar-looking Air Jordan 2 colorway had also hit the shelves back on 2004, but this upcoming one somewhat different. Most notably, the midsoles of the sneaker as are clean White as its uppers. Moreover, the heel cups are covered in Navy Blue and this sneaker features University Blue-colored piping over its uppers. Last but not least, this sneaker also sports plenty of Black accents throughout.

Along with this Air Jordan 2 Low “University Blue” that will retail at a price of $160, it will also be joined on the retail shelves by the Air Jordan 9 Low “Pantone.”
