The Jordan 88 Racer is not the only running sneaker that Jordan Brand has introduced as a part of this year’s Air Jordan releases 2018. The Jordan Zoom Tenacity 88 made its retail debut on March 14 in “Black/Cement” and “True Blue,” both of which were recreations of original Air Jordan 3 colorways. In July, Jordan Brand released the Jordan 88 Racer, which is quite similar to the Zoom Tenacity 88 since it also borrows from the Air Jordan 3. Earlier this month, the Jordan 88 Racer arrived at retailers in a “Triple Black” colorway. Next, it is set to hit the shelves in a “Red October” colorway.
In case you do not know, “Red October” is the nickname of a highly coveted colorway of the Nike Air Yeezy 2, Kanye West’s second signature Nike sneaker before he became the face of adidas. The Air Yeezy 2 “Red October actually made its retail debut back in February 2014 at a price of $245, after Kanye West had departed from Nike. Over the recent years, a number of other Air Jordan models have also arrived at retailers in Red October-inspired colorways. In fact, an Air Jordan 12 “Red October” is coincidentally believed to be joining October’s Air Jordan releases 2018.

The Jordan 88 Racer actually happens to be a combination of the Air Jordan 3 and the Nike Flyknit Racer. In recent months, it has hit the shelves in original Air Jordan 3 colorways, such as the “True Blue” and the “White Cement.” The Flyknit uppers of this upcoming “Red October” iteration are almost entirely dressed up in Infrared. Black makes an appearance over the elephant print overlays, eyestays, heel “Jumpman” and “RUN” branding, inner lining, laces, midsoles, outsoles, and tongues. The Jordan 88 Racer “Red October” will make its retail debut at a price of $100, but its release date is yet to be revealed.
