Back in June last year, Jordan Brand celebrated the early years of Michael Jordan’s career by collaborating with Converse. Together they whipped up a pack that included the Air Jordan 2 “Alumni Game” and a UNC-themed Fastbreak Mid. Earlier in March this year, Jordan Brand and Converse collaborated once again. Converse’s Dan Sunwoo and Jordan Brand’s Tinker Hatfield teamed up to design a special iteration of the Pro Leather, which featured the “Jumpman” branding instead of the brand’s signature “Chevron Star” logo. Just four months later, there seems to be the possibility that Jordan Brand and Converse might be teaming up once again for another collaboration.
In addition to the Jordan Brand x Converse Pro Leather, rumors began circulating back in March that the two brands were collaborating once again. Nothing else was ever announced or revealed other than the possibility that the Air Jordan 1 and the Air Jordan 11 would a part of this collaborative pack. Pinoe (@Pinoe77) even shared a photo on Twitter of an Air Jordan 11 shoe dressed up in Navy Blue and White. Instead of the “Jumpman” logo, the shoe features the “Converse Chuck Taylor All Star” branding on the side. It is unknown if this is an actual photo of the shoe or a Photoshop rendition.
However, these photos of sneaker boxes shared by @psmirf on Twitter suggest they might be related to this rumored collaboration between Jordan Brand and Converse. Two different-colored boxes can be seen in these photos. These sneaker silhouettes featured over the lid of each box suggests that this pack is likely going to include an Air Jordan 1, and Air Jordan 11, and possible one or two colorways of a Converse model, likely the Chuck Taylor. As of now, photos of the actual sneakers have not surfaced. So keep checking back to SneakersDog for more news and updates about this Jordan Brand x Converse collaboration.
