The Michigan Wolverines recently experienced quite a devastating loss against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Last season, the Wolverines suffered a loss after double-overtime and this season, they built a 14-0 lead before ending up losing, resulting in six consecutive losses for the team. So far, the Wolverines have been falling short and all they can do is look forward to the Michigan-Ohio game that will take place in Columbus next year. It seems that Jordan Brand had really high hopes for the team they are sponsoring. Before the college football game had even kicked off, Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 12 and apparel designed in collaboration with PSNY.
Despite the loss, the Michigan Wolverines are not lingering on it and are already looking forward. In fact, the Wolverines seem to be quite positive about securing a ninth victory in the bowl game, which will give them a headstart in the offseason. So far, the Wolverines have been proving to be quite resilient and the team has enough young players to keep on going. Had the Wolverines successfully integrated their seemingly impressive game plan at integral moments in the game, they could have actually defeated Ohio State. Regardless, the Michigan Wolverines gave it their very best and they looked great doing it, clad in Jordan Brand x PSNY apparel.
For Jordan Brand and Public School New York, this marked the first collaboration between the two brands revolving around a college football team. As can be seen, the Air Jordan 12 iteration that is a part of this capsule has suede uppers dressed up in a combination of the official team colors, i.e. Maize and Blue. The font of the team’s “Big Ten” logo seems to have been replicated for the Maize-colored “M” on the right tongue of the shoe. Apparently, the apparel in this capsule also included a one-of-one khaki trousers designed exclusively for Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines.
