It was not until the late ‘90s that Jordan Brand officially came into existence as a separate brand under Nike. As any avid sneakerhead will know, Jordan Brand continued to produce signature numbered sneakers for Michael Jordan, but around that time, they also introduced the Team Jordan line of basketball sneakers. Ray Allen was the first basketball player to rock a Team Jordan sneaker on the court. It seems that not only is Jordan Brand bringing back a Team Jordan sneaker from 19 years ago but have also whipped up an Ultra Fly 3 colorway that looks like it belongs in the Team Jordan line.
The Jumpman Quick 6 was one of the many sneaker models that Jordan Brand introduced as a part of their Team Jordan line. It debuted back in 1999 and was designed for Eddie Jones, who was Jordan Brand athlete at the time. Jordan Brand only dropped a few colorways of the Jumpman Quick 6 and this will be the first time that it is receiving the retro treatment. Reportedly, the colorway featured here will be among Jordan Brand’s summer/fall Air Jordan releases 2018. Its uppers appear to be made up of smooth and tumbled leather, dressed up in a combination of Navy Blue and White with some Maize-colored accents.
Seen above is a Jordan Ultra Fly 3 colorway, but if you are familiar with Team Jordan sneakers, you will likely agree that it features an aesthetic and color scheme that reminds you of them. Like most Team Jordan sneakers, this Ultra Fly 3 iteration appears to be quite sleek and sporty. In addition to having predominantly clean White uppers, its leather forefoot sleeves also feature some Blue-colored detailing inspired from the Air Jordan 18, Air Jordan 19 and Team Jordan releases from the early 2000s. Half a Blue-colored “23” can also be spotted over its plain White soles, the rest of which extends towards the bottom of them.
So far, there is no official conformation or news about when the Jordan Jumpman Quick 6 and the Jordan Ultra Fly 3 featured here will be making their respective retail debuts. The only thing that is being reported is that they will both end up joining either summer’s or fall’s Air Jordan releases 2018 that are scheduled to hit the shelves in the coming months.
