Chris Paul has been an avid and enthusiastic fan of the Dallas Cowboys for quite some time now. After defeating the Dallas Wizards, Chris and his Los Angeles Clippers teammates at the time spend their holiday off-day on November 24th, 2016 attending the game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins. Chris Paul had admitted being excited about that game and the entire Los Angeles Clippers team went to watch it live. The Dallas Cowboys referred to Chris Paul as one of their “biggest fans,” which is still true, considering that the latest iteration of his CP3.IX has been dressed up in the football team’s signature colors.
The Dallas Cowboy’s Biggest Fan
Apparently, Dak Prescott, Dez Bryant, Ezekiel Elliott and Jason Witten are some of Chris Paul’s favorites from the Dallas Cowboys. Being able to attend the game ensured that he would have a “good Thanksgiving.” The Los Angeles Clippers roster even spent time with Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, and his family. Via a tweet posted on November 24th, 2016, the Dallas Cowboys (@dallascowboys) even thanked Chris Paul for “coming out.” Even though he grew up in North Carolina, Chris Paul’s admiration and enthusiasm for the Dallas Cowboys makes sense considering that they were at their peak back in the early 90s when he was growing up.
The most recent CP3.IX release was a colorway inspired Chris Paul’s alter ego, Cliff Paul. Since this latest CP3.IX iteration is inspired by Chris Paul’s favorite American football team, so it mimics the official color scheme of the Dallas Cowboys. Hence, its uppers are dressed up in a combination of Light Smoke Grey, Metallic Silver, Midnight Navy and White. The insoles appear to be depicting the trimmed grass on an American football field and also feature the Jordan “Jumpman” logo. This Dallas Cowboys-inspired Jordan CP3.IX colorway has already made its retail debut and is currently available on Nike.com at a price of $115.
