2017 is a fresh, new year and for sneakerheads, it means a whole new lineup of Air Jordan releases that they can add to their collection. 2017 has also marked the 20th Anniversary of Jordan Brand’s entry into the Chinese market, and they have celebrated this milestone with the launch of two new retail stores in Chengdu and Taipei. The opening of these two immersive retail experiences also coincided with the release of the Chinese New Year Pack. 2017 is also going to be the year in which Jordan Brand and New York-based artist KAWS are going to collaborate, and the model selected for this collaboration is the Air Jordan 4.
Presently, there are a numerous of splendid Air Jordan 4 iterations that are a part of Jordan Brand’s retro release lineup for 2017. The ones that have been confirmed so far including the Air Jordan 4 “Motorsports,” “Pure Money” and “Royalty.” Summer of 2017 is also scheduled to mark the return of the Air Jordan 13 “Chutney,” while other colorways like the Air Jordan 13 “Flint” will also make their comeback alongside brand new iterations like the Air Jordan 13 “Black Cat.”
Apart from the above, Jordan Brand also unveiled some of their select Spring Air Jordan releases 2017. The most obvious of these releases were the three from Jordan Brand’s “Take Flight” Pack.” This pack includes bomber jacket- and fighter plane-inspired colorways of the Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 8, as well as the returning Air Jordan 15 “Stealth,” which is now being referred to as the “Flight Jacket.”
Jordan Brand’s retro release lineup apparently be including several “Alternate” releases as well. So far, it is confirmed that both the Air Jordan 6 and the Air Jordan 8 are receiving the “Alternate” treatment. Much like the Air Jordan 12 dominated 2016, the Air Jordan 12 Low will quite possibly dominate 2017, with two releases having already been confirmed.
