Justin Timberlake has been making headlines, whether about his Super Bowl 2018 halftime performance or the pop-up shop that he opened in New York City this past weekend. While his halftime show turned out being quite controversial, his latest album “Man of the Woods” has managed to top the charts, opening at Number 1 after being released on February 2nd, 2018. In addition to the performance, sneakerheads may have likely noticed that Justin was laced up in the Air Jordan 3 “JTH” throughout the show. While it has already joined recent Jordan releases 2018, JT was recently spotted rocking another unexpected sneaker from Jordan Brand.
Justin’s performance at the Super Bowl took place two days after the release of the album, so it likely helped “Man of the Woods” climb the charts. Coincidently enough, it seems like Justin timed the opening of his pop-up shop with the 2018 New York Fashion Week, which is still underway and will end on February 16th. Justin happens to have a clothing brand by the name of “William Rast,” but his own clothing line was not available at the shop. Instead, he teamed up with some major brands, including Jordan Brand, to sell collaborative products inspired by the 16 songs from his brand new album.
While Justin has already rocked the Air Jordan 3 “JTH,” the pop superstar was recently spotted laced up in a pair of the Jordan Tenacity 88 in a similar “Black/Cement” color scheme. For sneakerheads who do not know, the Zoom Tenacity 88 is a lightweight and responsive running shoe from Jordan Brand that comes equipped with synthetic and textile uppers, foam midsoles, Flightspeed, rubber treads and Zoom Air. While the heels of the Jordan Tenacity 88 have featured “AIR” branding in the past, this time the “Jumpman” logo seems to have “RUN” below it.
The fact that Justin Timberlake has rocked it may seem to suggest that it is an exclusive and may not end up joining upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018. However, there have been reports that this Jordan Tenacity 88 “Black/Cement” might arrive at retailers next month, somewhere in March 2018.
