While Nike has still not officially unveiled the LeBron 13 yet, LeBron James himself recently wore his latest signature sneaker model when he stopped at the Santa Monica-based Nike Basketball Elite Academy. No doubt, it has been confirmed that the LeBron 13 will be one of the Nike releases 2015, but those who have laid eyes upon the sneaker have had unfavorable opinions about it so far. Hopefully, as time progresses and Nike Basketball stop being so hush-hush about the LeBron 13, perhaps then people will start saying positive things about The King’s latest signature silhouette.
Until now, all of the photos of the Nike LeBron 13 that have popped up have been provided on-feet glimpses of the sneaker, which have not exactly been that clear. Nonetheless, sneakerheads have gotten the essence of what Nike Basketball is aiming for with the latest installment in LeBron James’ signature sneaker series. However, finally high resolution photos of the LeBron 13 have surfaced and it is finally possible to make out the intricate details of the upcoming sneaker.
The ankle and heel of the LeBron 13 resemble the side panel construction of the LeBron 9, while this sneaker also marks the return of the Hexagonal Zoom Air unit. As of lately, Nike seems to have become obsessed with forefoot Swooshes. The inspiration apparently comes from their own soccer line and now Nike Basketball models like this LeBron 13 are also sporting forefoot Swooshes, as can be seen in the photo. The mesh upper of the LeBron 13 appears to be held down an asymmetrical lacing system and this latest model is apparently not equipped with Dynamic Flywire.
It is actually understandable that the Nike LeBron 13 has not managed to gain favor within the sneaker community. It must be kept in mind that the Nike LeBron 11 and 12 have not been as successful as their predecessors, so it will take some time before their opinions are swayed. That does not change the fact that Nike LeBron 13 will be one of more expensive Nike releases 2015, considering that it will retail for $220 on October 10th.
