The original colorway of the Air Safari has appeared over several of Nike’s other footwear, such as the LunarCharge. This was actually not something new for the LunarCharge, considering that it has previously been dressed up in color schemes inspired by original Air Max colorways. Most recently, the slip-on LunarCharge mimicked the original Air Safari colorway, especially the signature pebble print that appeared over the rear end of the shoe. Many of you were probably not expecting the Air Safari itself to return, but it actually did this year, and now it on its way to retailers once again in a brand new colorway.
The Air Safari did not just make its comeback this year; Nike brought it back in its original colorway, along with dropping a brand new one. You may or may not know this, but it was Tinker Hatfield who designed the Air Safari back in 1987, drawing inspiration from the design of a couch. The signature pebbled Safari print was the source of the inspiration for the Air Jordan 3’s Elephant print. In addition to the OG, the other brand new colorway that Nike dropped was a “Triple Black” one. Both of them ended up retailing at a price of $140 on March 14th, 2018.
Hence, the upcoming brand new colorway is the second one ever since the recent return of the Nike Air Safari last month. It appears to be ready for spring and is simply dubbed “Cobblestone.” Its mesh and suede uppers are dressed up entirely in Grey, including tonal pebbled Safari detailing covering the heel collars. Its midsoles are horizontally split between a Burnt Orange hue and White, while its outsoles are equally covered in Black, Grey and White. This Nike Air Safari “Cobblestone” has already arrived, so you will not have to wait. You may cop a pair for $100, but you will have to visit: oneness287.com.
