This Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Is Likely Inspired By The Chicago Bulls

Almost from the moment Michael Jordan had gone pro and joined the Chicago Bulls, he had been laced up in an Air Jordan. However, the rest of his teammates had rocked a variety of Nike sneakers over the years. Just about every sneakerhead will vouch for the fact that Michael Jordan not only was the greatest on the court because of his performance but also because of his kicks. He had sported some of Tinker Hatfield’s finest classics, but his fellow members from Chicago Bulls were also at the very top of their sneaker game. Apparently, Nike’s latest Air Max 1 Ultra colorway is inspired by the Bulls themselves.

During the Playoffs in 1992, Scottie Pippen had worn the successor to the sneaker from ’91, namely the Air Flight Lite. For a point guard like BJ Armstrong, the Nike Air Ballistic Force High was an ideal sneaker, which he had rocked back in 1993. In 1996, numerous members of the Bulls had sported the Nike Air Max Uptempo. Luc Longley had even worn the Nike Air Max Battle Force on the court back in 1998.

Even if not directly, the Chicago Bulls have still seemingly inspired this upcoming colorway of the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra, which has been dubbed “Chicago.” It is not the first time that an Air Jordan 1 has inspired an Air Max 1 and this one is obviously drawing its inspiration from the OG “Chicago” colorway of the Air Jordan 1. The running shoe has been dressed up in a Chicago Bulls-inspired color scheme for the very first time, which is the reason its synthetic uppers are dressed up in the iconic color combination of Black, Red and White

Even though release details are scarce at the moment, this Air Max 1 Ultra “Chicago” should like hit the shelves at select Nike retailers very soon.
