Footwear from Nike’s ACG (All Conditions Gear) line has always been futuristic, innovative, technologically advanced, and versatile. Earlier last year when Nike introduced the Zoom Sertig ’16, it seemed like an outlandish, unimaginable sneakerboot that could not possibly be real, but it was. When the Nike Komyuter was unveiled, it was even more futuristic and unconventional. “Komyuter,” the name of the model, is a spin on the word “commuter.” Despite its sophisticated nature, the idea for the Komyuter came from brown paper bags. The latest addition to Nike’s ACG line is actually an upgraded Air Force 1 with key design elements of the Komyuter incorporated into it.
What Are The Features The Nike Komyuter?
The Nike Komyuter was designed for modern day commuting and is described as a “modern urban utility” shoe on Nike.com. Nike constructed the Komyuter using water-repellant textile so it would keep the wearer’s feet comfortable and dry during everyday commuting across urban environments. It can be easily taken on and off since it is equipped with magnetic closures. Its foam soles not only offer comfortable cushioning but also ensure that this shoe is lightweight, while the pattern beneath its rubber outsoles enables them to retain their traction even on wet surfaces. Last but not least, its uppers also feature some eye-catching reflective detailing.
The Nike Air Force 1 Komyuter
As originally designed, the Air Force 1 is not a model that belongs in Nike’s ACG line, but the incorporation of the Komyuter’s design elements certainly enables it to fit in perfectly. This brand new model, a combination of the Air Force 1 and the Komyuter, features sleek all-Black tumbled leather uppers. Its laces have been replaced with a mid-foot buckle system consisting of two thick straps, with a large White Nike “Swoosh” logo on the top one. Its heel pull tabs have been designed to resemble buckles too. It is also equipped with plain White midsoles and milky rubber outsoles. Keep checking back to SneakersExclusive for more updates.
