Nike Is Dropping These “Igloo” Collection Releases To Cool Off The Summer Heat

The SB Dunk Low was the sneaker that marked the advent of the Nike Skateboarding line. Originally, Nike had designed the classic Dunk High as a basketball sneaker. However, the silhouette was later modified to have a low-top profile, thicker tongues and Zoom Air cushioning, which transformed it into a skateboarding shoe. Summer is obviously underway and the summer heat is more persistent than ever, with temperatures soaring high through this week. These dry and hot conditions are becoming quite unbearable even. With everyone looking for ways to cool off, Nike is offering sneakerheads a chance to look cool with the sneakers included in this upcoming “Igloo” Collection.

Nike LeBron 14 Low Mint Foam-2Nike’s new “Igloo” Collection includes colorways of the KD 10, Kobe A.D., Kyrie 3 and the LeBron 14 Low. The KD 10 “Igloo” appears to have simple-looking Flyknit uppers, the majority of which is dressed up in a Cool Grey hue. Adding a pop of vibrant color, a Minty Green hue appears over its Nike “Swoosh” logos and Zoom Air midsole units. The Kobe A.D. “Igloo” looks equally icy, featuring uppers almost entirely dressed up in the same Cool Grey hue. However, the same Black hue that covers its outsoles can also be spotted throughout in the form of accents, including speckles underneath the translucent shell of the midsoles.

The Kyrie 3 “Aqua” included in this collection appears to have received the pastel treatment. Its uppers are dressed up in a minty green Aqua hue, which perhaps reminds sneakerheads of Nike’s many “Tiffany” colorways from the past. This sneaker also sports Black-colored midsole speckling and “Swoosh” branding, along with Light Grey-colored detailing throughout. Finally, there is this tonal iteration of the LeBron 14 Low, which seems to have given a lifestyle touch because of its never-before-seen woven uppers. Since it is a tonal colorway, the sneaker is completely dressed up in a minty green hue from top to bottom, including its signature Zoom-cushioned sole units.

Nike KD 10 “Igloo”-3Although all four of these sneakers are indeed a part of Nike’s “Igloo” Collection, they will not be making their retail debuts on the same date. Rather, the Kobe A.D. “Igloo” arrives on July 1st, the LeBron 14 Low “Mint Foam” arrives on July 7th, the KD 10 “Igloo” arrives on July 14th, and the Kyrie 3 “Aqua” arrives on July 15th, 2017.
