On Apple’s iTunes, the Nike SNKRS app currently has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars based on 187,332 reviews and is ranked “#17 in Shopping.” Following its launch back on May 21, 2015, the Nike SNKRS had amassed more than 300 reviews on iTunes in less than a month, but its rating was merely one and a half out of five stars at the time. After the app’s rise to popularity, Nike also launched the SNEAKRS app last year for sneakerheads throughout Europe. Hence, 2018 marks the one-year anniversary of the SNEAKRS app, and it is being celebrated with free giveaways and a huge restock.
The Nike SNEAKRS+ App Launch
The SNEAKRS+ app was launched back in August 2017 in 19 European countries, including the United Kingdom, and Nike celebrated it with a “Heat Wave” of restocks that spanned a total of six days. Beginning on August 18th, Nike restocked some of the most sought-after sneakers that had already hit the shelves earlier that year. These included the Air Jordan 1 “Gotta Shine,” Air Jordan 1 “Royal,” Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam,” Air Max 97 “Snakeskin,” Air VaporMax “Triple Black,” and the Flyknit Trainer OG that was once worn by Kanye West. The upcoming SNEAKRS app restock some of the most hyped Air Jordan releases 2018 of this year.
The Nike SNEAKRS App’s 1-Year Anniversary
Nike has apparently started send out free, random pairs of sneakers to some of the loyal users of the Nike SNEAKRS app throughout Europe in celebration of its one-year anniversary. Someone named “Kevin” received a pair of the Jordan Legacy 312 “Medicine Ball” along with a thank you note that has “1/50” written on the top right corner. This suggests that Nike will be giving out a total of 50 pairs. In addition to these free giveaways, Nike is also celebrating the 1-year anniversary of the SNEAKRS app with a restock that will include some of the most popular releases from Jordan Brand and Nike of 2018.
What Is Included In This Restock?
This restock apparently includes recent Air Max 270 colorways, latest models from Nike’s ACG line, the OFF-White x Air Jordan sneakers, the Parra x Nike Air Max 1, the Skepta x Air Max iterations, and the the React Element 87. This restock has officially kicked off on August 8th, 2018, and will include these and several other sneakers.
