Many of the sneakerheads reading this, especially those who also happen to be basketball fans, are probably aware of NBA’s uniform policy. For those who do not, NBA does not allow players to lace up in sneakers that are not dressed up in color schemes resembling their team hues. However, NBA does allow teams to break their uniform policy on certain special occasions, so that the sneakers worn reflect the particular holiday being commemorated. Apart from the All-Star Weekend and the Finals, Easter is also among such occasions and with the Easter Bunny getting ready; it is only fair for the Nike release 2016 of a LeBron 13 to take place.
Even Christmas is one of those occasions, during which NBA athletes are known to wear alternate or special edition sneaker, many even of which even hit the shelves during the Holiday Season. It is true that 6 weeks still remain until Easter Sunday will finally be here, but avid sneakerheads are probably already deciding or at least wondering what kicks they are going to rock during the upcoming holiday. Now that the LeBron 13 “Easter” has been unveiled by Nike, this is one possible sneaker that they could cop.
The hues that this latest iteration of the thirteenth LeBron model appears to be dressed up in certainly seem to be a reflection of the Easter season. The upper of this Easter rendition is predominantly plain White-colored, which makes it look subtle, but the inner lining and the forefoot’s Nike Swoosh both sport a colorful pastel egg dye print. Even the outsole, which has received the icy translucent treatment, also appears to be sporting extra pastel hues.
Considering that Easter Sunday will be next month, so it should be surprising that the Nike release 2016 of the Nike LeBron 13 “Easter” is also scheduled to take next month. In fact, the sneaker will be retailing at a price of $200 on March 25th.
