As always, this year’s New York Fashion Week will be held next month, from September 6th to 14th, 2018. Two days before it begins though, Harlem’s Fashion Row will be taking place on September 4th, where LeBron James will not only be honored with an award but will also be presenting the show alongside Travis Scott. This makes sense considering that the Harlem’s Fashion Row fashion show and style awards is being hosted in partnership with Nike, and their partnership apparently does not stop here. Nike has also collaborated with Harlem’s Fashion Row to design a special iteration of the LeBron 16, which has just been officially unveiled.
LeBron James Will Be Co-Presenting Harlem’s Fashion Row
The 2018 Harlem’s Fashion Row has been dubbed “The Strongest.” In addition to LeBron, Bethann Hardison, Dapper Dan and Jason Rembert will be among those who will be honored with awards at the show. Pieces from lifestyle brands Kimberly Goldson and UndraCeleste New York will also featured. While it is going to be a black tie event, it seems that Nike footwear has been designated to be a part of the dress code for the attendees and guests. It makes sense that LeBron James is among the honorees. For Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals, LeBron James arrived dressed in a matching suit and shorts.
Harlem’s Fashion Row x Nike LeBron 16
In case you do not know already, Harlem’s Fashion Row is a unique movement that was founded to serve as a platform for multicultural fashion designers in order to make fashion more diverse. A tribute to this year’s Harlem’s Fashion Row, this particular LeBron 16 iteration has predominantly Cream-colored knitted, textured uppers. Additionally, its ankle straps are made up of Tan leather with a buckle that is covered in Gold and features LeBron’s branding. His “Lion” logo can also be spotted over the heels and has been incorporated into the lacing system. Last but not least, its soles are also Cream-colored like its uppers and contain Air Zoom cushioning.
As mentioned, Harlem’s Fashion Row is scheduled to take place on September 4th. This Harlem’s Fashion Row x Nike LeBron 16 will reportedly make its retail debut during New York Fashion Week, which kicks off two days after that on September 6th, 2018.
