For sneakerheads, fall and winter can be quite a tricky period in terms of rocking their favorite footwear and also ensuring that their feet do not end up freezing. Back in October when it was still Fall, Nike introduced the 2017 Lunar Force 1 Duckboot collection. Even back in September, Nike had dropped an entire collection of sneakerboots for the Fall/Winter season during Labor Day Weekend. The Lunar Force 1 Duckboot featured rugged leather uppers with hiker-style laces, Gum Rubber outsoles, Lunarlon tooling and stud detailing. With winter and the Holiday Season underway, Nike seems prepared to drop two new sneakerboots for winter 2017.
One of these two sneakerboots is actually a brand new trail model from Nike Sportswear, which has been exclusively designed for women and has been dubbed the Gaiter Boot. This WMNS Gaiter Boot has been designed to have waterproof uppers, which will keep the female wearer’s feet cozy and warm, protected against the wintry elements. This WMNS Gaiter Boot also features buckle closures and zippers, while it is equipped with rugged, all-terrain outsoles as well. Overall, it sports an almost entirely plain White color scheme, combined with Black-, faint Green- and Pure Platinum-colored detailing.
The second sneakerboot that Nike will be dropping soon is a brand new colorway of the Special Field Air Force 1 High, which has arrived in a few other colorways in the recent past. This latest colorway of the Speical Field Air Force 1 High, dubbed “Sage,” appears to draw inspiration from the military, with its ballistic nylon mesh and leather uppers dressed up completely in a grayish Sage hue. This sneakerboot variation of the Special Force Air Force 1 also features rope laces wrapping around its ankles, redesigned zippers running up to the top of the tongues and the reflective “AF1” branding over its ankles.
Nike has not yet confirmed when the WMNS Gaiter Boot will make its retail debut, but it will reportedly retail for $250 whenever it does. As for the Nike Special Field Air Force 1 High “Sage,” it is scheduled to hit the shelves on December 7th, 2017 and it will retail for $200.
