Nike Takes A Darker Approach With This Kobe 10 Elite Low “Overcome”

Nike Basketball officially released the Kobe 10 Elite Low this past weekend, when it arrived at retailers in its debuting “Rivalry” colorway that took inspiration from the Chester Clippers, one of Kobe Bryant’s high school rivals. The “Rivalry” colorway was a bright and vibrant Total Orange/Laser Orange-colored sneaker. However, this new “Overcome” iteration that will hit the shelves on one of the upcoming Nike release dates 2015 has been dressed up in much darker tones.

nike-kobe-10-elite-low-emerald-overcome-2While the “Rivalry” coloray was indeed the first general release of the Kobe 10, sneakerheads probably recall that it was not the first time this low-cut form of Kobe Bryant’s latest signature sneaker arrived at retailers. Back in April, Nike Basketball dropped the HTM x Nike Kobe 10 Elite Low exclusively in Milan, which was released after the collaboration between Hiroshi Fujiwara, Mark Parker, and Tinker Hatfield. While the HTM rendition of the Nike Kobe 10 Elite Low may not have been up for grabs for those not in Milan at the time, the latest installment is poised to be one of the best of the series.

This upcoming “Overcome” colorway of the Nike Kobe 10 Elite Low features a one-piece Flyknit construction that sports a pristine appearance because of the dark Radiant Emerald hue that covers it. From the tonal perspective, this colorway probably gives off quite the gloomy vibes and it is further darkened. Perhaps that is why Nike Basketball decided to add at least some pop of color in the form of the Total Orange hue that frames the Dynamic Flywire cables and Nike Swoosh, while also making appearance on the midsole in the form of speckles.

Sneakerheads will not even have to wait too long to get their hands on it considering that August 12th is one of the upcoming August 2015 Nike release dates when the Nike Kobe 10 Elite Low “Atomic Teal” hit the shelves.
