Many sneakerheads will probably not be able to believe that it was back in 1997 that the Nike Air Foamposite One had debuted. This means that nineteen years have already passed and 2017 will mark the 20th anniversary of the model. This should make it obvious that Nike will be dropping quite a lot of Air Foamposite releases next year, including those of the Foamposite Pro. In fact, avid sneakerheads have probably heard and read about a few of these Foamposite releases that Nike has scheduled for 2017. However, 2016 has not concluded and Nike has plans to release perhaps one final Air Foamposite One before it ends.
Nike and plenty of sneakerheads are likely waiting for January 2017 to begin celebrating the 20th anniversary of the two Air Foamposite silhouettes. Considering that the returning Air Foamposite One “Royal” is an OG colorway, more and more photos of next year’s version keep surfacing online. Recently, @sneakerer even posted on-feet photos of the sneaker on Instagram. Twitter user @pinoe77 recently also shared photos of a brand new colorway of the AIr Foamposite Pro, which will apparently also make its retail debut at some point in 2017. This Air Foamposite Pro iteration sports predominantly Silver-like uppers that have a metallic sheen, while with contrasting Black accents are present throughout.
However, before all of that happens, it does not seem like Nike is done with its Air Foamposite releases for 2016. Just this past weekend, the Air Foamposite One “Halloween” for kids had made its retail debut and now in a few days, the Air Foamposite One “Maroon” is also going to make its way to retailers. Despite not being a classic original, many sneakerheads will likely cop a pair of this sneaker. Its foam shell uppers are dressed up almost entirely in Maroon but contrasting Black-colored detailing can also be spotted and it is also equipped with Gum Rubber soles.
Unlike the recent “Halloween” rendition, this colorway will arrive in full family sizes, so everyone will be able to rock a pair if they wish to. Of course, they will have to spend $230 in order to cop one when this Nike Air Foamposite One “Maroon” hits the shelves on October 20th.
