Just a day before the NCAA Track & Field Championship was scheduled to take place in Eugene last year on June 9th, 2016, Jordan Brand had provided special Air Jordan 14 PE pairs to the Oregon Ducks. That special edition iteration had been designed exclusively for the Oregon Ducks’ track and field team. The Oregon Ducks had managed to make it to leaderboard in the women’s division but not in the men’s division. The men’s division leaderboard consisted of Arkansas, Florida and Texas. This year, it seems that Jordan Brand has whipped up a similar-looking Air Jordan 14 PE for the Oregon Ducks basketball team.
The Oregon Ducks men’s basketball team had a slow start. However, in the 2017 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament, the Ducks are expected to take a strong leap and may end up facing rather tough competition in the form of the UCLA Bruins. Not only were the UCLA Bruins among the current six undefeated teams, they are also ranked second in the U.S. However, this past Thursday on December 29th, the Bruins lost for the very first time this season and the Ducks wound up being victorious with a score of 89-87. It was Dillon Brooks who made the final three-point shot when just 0.8 seconds were remaining.
The Air Jordan 14 PE from last year’s NBA season, which the Oregon Ducks track and field team had received, ended up becoming up achieving the status of a highly coveted sneaker. Just like the track and field team’s version, the Air Jordan 14 PE provided to the basketball team has uppers dressed up predominantly in the same Olive Green hue. The tongue tags of the pairs that the track and field team had received featured “TRACK” printed over them, which has now been replaced with “B.BALL.”
The of the sneaker seen here was shared on the official Twitter account of the University Of Oregon. Obviously, since it is an Air Jordan 14 PE, it will not be hitting the shelves.
