The Original adidas NMD “Black/Blue/Red/White” Colorway Will Be Available Again

As sneakerheads likely know, especially those who are fans of the NMD R1, adidas has upgraded the model with a brand new version of its predecessor in the form of the NMD R2. Most noticeably, its Primeknit uppers have been revamped, completely wrapped within unique overlays that bear a striped patterns. In addition, it is equipped with thicker Boost midsoles that feature a single large EVA insert instead of multiple ones. The NMD R2 already debuted recently on December 3rd in two different colorways that retailed for $160 each. Yet, the original adidas NMD Primeknit has not been forgotten, rather its OG “Black/Blue/Red/White” colorway is being brought back.

adidas-nmd-r1-primeknit-og-2A couple of days ago, sneakerheads received the good news that original adidas NMD Primeknit “Black/Blue/Red/White” was going to arrive at retailers once again next year. Although there has been misinformation and uncertainties as to when exactly that will happen, but it will indeed be available once again in 2017. It is worth noting for sneakerheads that they should not mistake the second coming of this sneaker as a restock because next year’s pairs will likely not be from the first set. Rather, it will be a completely different production run, i.e. adidas will be officially dropping the sneaker for the second time.

It was back in December 2015 when the sneaker community got its very first look at the adidas NMD. The colorway that includes the hues Black, Blue, Red and White was the first, original one of this model to have been released by adidas and almost a year has passed since its retail debut. Even though many sneakerheads probably managed to cop a pair when this sneaker first hit the shelves last year, many also perhaps were not able to a pair to their collection. Fortunately, adidas is giving them another chance. As sneakerheads recall, its Primeknit uppers are predominantly ominous Black, while each pod on its all-White midsoles is covered in Blue and Red, respectively.

However, apparently its re-release has been pushed forward a month and now the original adidas NMD “Black/Blue/Red/White” will be available once again at some point in January 2017.
