PUMA’s 2016 Collaboration With Alife Includes The Blaze Of Glory & The R698

Even though the year has changed, it seems that Puma did not take a break and they have already unveiled their first collaborative project of 2016. Apparently, PUMA’s first collaboration of the new year will be with Alife, which is not something new since the Alife X PUMA 2015 Footwear Collection that hit the shelves last year. This latest collaboration between Alife and PUMA will once again mark the PUMA release 2016 of four different colorways of the PUMA Blazy of Glory and the Puma R698.

The silhouette is known for being quite clean, equipped with a distinctive lace system that ensures a snug fit. Although a cat can be spotted on the heel of every Blazy of Glory rendition, they never feature the signature formstripe logo of the brand. The R698 is another running shoe model that PUMA introduced back in the 80s. It is another silhouette with barely any branding, while its upper is made up of mesh and suede, and it is also equipped with a Trinomic sole. Sneakerheads have also set the trend of rocking the PUMA R698 off the court.

From the photos of the collection that are currently circulating all over the Internet, it can be seen four different sneakers are a part of it. While the only one Grey and Violet iteration of the Blaze of Glory is included in this collection, it will also come with three different renditions of the R698, namely a Black, Glacier and a Peach one. As usual, the Blaze of Glory colorway will consist of a 3M upper, while the R698 colorways will be made up of mesh and suede uppers. In order to signify the collaboration, the collar liners and tongues of the sneaker will also sport the Alife branding. It is being rumored that the PUMA release 2016 of this year’s Alife x PUMA collection is scheduled to take place at some point in January.
