After its original debut 19 years ago, the Air Jordan 5 “Laney” has been redesigned to join this year’s Air Jordan releases 2019. Ever since originally made its retail debut on May 10th, 2000 at a price of $120, it is the only colorway to have been inspired by the Emsley A. Laney High School, where Michael Jordan once studied and played basketball. Thirteen years later, Jordan Brand re–released the Air Jordan 5 “Laney” and it was slightly different then. The “Air Jordan” branding under the tongues featured different hues, “Jumpman” logo on its heels were Black rather than Blue, and the lace locks were more colorful.
