As you may have already figured, some of the upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018 are going to be a part of Nike’s latest “N7” Fall/Holiday Collection. As always, this collection is also linked to Nike’s N7 Fund, which was established back in 2000. It was Sam McCracken, a member of northeastern Montana’s Sioux and Assiniboine tribes, who developed the N7 Fund. The goal of the initiative was to enable Native American/Aboriginal communities and tribes to expand and progress. The program got its name from the Native American Seventh Generation Principle. The N7 Fall/Holiday 2018 Collection includes a combination of different Air Jordan and Nike sneakers.
It was actually not until 2007 that Nike released the first N7 sneaker model. The model was named the Air Native N7 and was designed keeping in mind the foot shape and width of Native Americans/Aboriginals. Following its initial release, all of the proceeds went towards the N7 Fund. By 2009, an Air Huarache N7 and an N7 Air Pegasus+26 become a part of the lineage too, followed by four other models in 2010. Of course, all proceeds generated from their sales went towards the program. As of now, the Nike N7 lineage comprises of more than 20 different sneaker models, including the popular N7 variation of the KD 4.
The Nike N7 Fall/Holiday Collection includes footwear for both men and women, including two Air Jordan releases 2018 for the former. The men’s footwear includes a Nike Air Force 1 Mid ’07, an Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap, and a Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 Low. The women’s footwear includes a Nike Air Huarache City Utility Premium and a Nike Presto Fly Premium. All five of the special editions of these sneaker models are dressed up in vibrant colors and feature patterns the draw inspiration of Native American loom-style beadwork. Most of these sneakers are already available on Nike.com, while a few are on their way.
Apart from the Air Force 1 Mid ’07 and the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap, the other three already made their retail debut on November 7th, 2018 and should still be available. These two will be arriving on the Nike SNKRS app on November 14th, 2018.
