It seems that some very interesting teams are going head to head for the final slots to be a part of the 2017 NBA Playoffs. If the Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder and the Portland Trail Blazers manage to qualify for the postseason, basketball fans can expect to witness some very exhilarating first-round matchups. If these teams actually qualify, the top teams in all the conferences would have to face tougher competition in the final playoff brackets. Hopefully, this postseason will be less predictable than previous ones. Jordan Brand is proving to be unpredictable with their Playoff releases, such as Super.Fly 5 PO featured here.
It is not entire surprising that the Jordan Super.Fly is surfacing in several different colorways around the same time that Blake Griffin is getting back in form. He has been championing the Jordan Super.Fly models since the past five years or so and they have somewhat become his signature silhouettes. For a over month, Blake was recovering from a right knee surgery, but he seems to have made quite a confident return in his seventh game in which the Los Angeles Clippers faced off against the New York Knicks. The Clippers won and Blake scored 32 points, the highest of this season for him.
Sneakerheads probably recall that the Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO was one of the two Air Jordan PEs that the University of North Carolina Tar Heels received. That makes the one featured here the second Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO colorway of 2017. This iteration is dubbed “Purple Dynasty” and is being referred to as a Playoffs release, but its color scheme also appears to be drawing inspiration from the alternate jerseys of the Charlotte Hornets. Apart from the Purple hue covers its uppers, its midfoot straps seem to be made up of glossy, elephant print-covered patent leather, their medial sides featuring a bold “Jumpman” logo.
This also happens to be the second Playoffs rendition of the Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO since a OVO-themed one, with a Black and Metallic Gold color scheme, was unveiled not too long ago. However, this Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO “Purple Dynasty” has already become available at select Jordan Brand and Nike retailers, and sneakerheads may cop a pair at a price of $140.
