The classic and iconic “Chicago” colorway returns one of Jordan Brand’s latest Air Jordan releases 2018 but with as a slight variation. Back in 1984 when Michael Jordan began his professional basketball career, Reebok had actually surpassed Nike as the number one footwear and sportswear brand. Hence, it was signing Michael Jordan and the debut of the Air Jordan 1 in 1985 that brought Nike back on top. In fact, it is the Air Jordan 1 that gave rise to the “sneaker culture” we recognize today. 33 years later, Jordan Brand is set to release a variation of one of the most classic Air Jordan 1 colorways.
One of the most iconic, original colorways of the model, Jordan Brand whipped up the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” back in 1985. Considering how much in demand the colorway is, Jordan Brand has brought back the iteration a number of times. More recently, Jordan Brand dropped the Air Jordan 1 “Homage To Home,” which blended together the model’s “Bred” and “Chicago” colorways. The Air Jordan 1 “Top 3” from 2016 was a similar hybrid iteration that had the “Chicago” colorway incorporated into it. Both the “Chicago” and “Top Three” colorways have now joined recent Air Jordan releases 2018, having appeared on a variation of Jordan Brand’s first sneaker model. Sneakerheads probably know that golf is one of Michael Jordan’s favorite sports, other than basketball and baseball. In the not so distant past, the Air Jordan 6 and the Air Jordan 9 were transformed into cleats, but earlier this year, Jordan Brand dropped a golf shoe variation of the Air Jordan 11 in two different colorways. The low-top Air Jordan 11 Golf Shoes, which paired golf-appropriate midsoles and outsoles with the usual mesh and patent leather uppers, arrived in a “Concord” and a “Cool Grey” colorway. Apparently, Jordan Brand is now converting an actual, well-known Air Jordan colorway into a golf shoe and it is the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago.” Continue reading The Air Jordan 1 Retro “Chicago” Has Been Transformed Into A Golf Shoe

This off-season, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers were under the spotlight because of their victory in the 2016 NBA Finals. There has also been a lot of basketball talk revolving around how the Golden State Warriors are going to rebound after their loss to the Cavaliers. The Air Jordan 13 is one of the best basketball sneakers to have ever been released and not just among those by Jordan Brand. The 1997-98 NBA season during which the Air Jordan had made its retail debut had also been the last time that Michael Jordan had performed as a member of the Chicago Bulls. As would be the case with any other model from Jordan Brand’s signature line, the OG colorways of the Air Jordan 13 are definitely the most iconic. Sneakerheads likely know that 2017 will mark the Air Jordan 13’s comeback in two OG colorways, but there is another original iteration that is returning too.
