Reportedly, Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan releases 2019 for this year’s Holiday Season will include a washed denim iteration of the Air Jordan 6. The Air Jordan 6 has received the denim treatment twice before, although unofficially, so neither of those iterations hit the shelves. Of these custom Air Jordan 6 “Ostrich and Denim” designed by JBF Customs back in September 2013. JBF Customs used the Air Jordan 6 “Olympic” to serve as the base for his custom creation. As its nickname likely suggests, its uppers made up of denim and faux ostrich leather. It wasn’t until four years later that another custom, denim Air Jordan 6 iteration was designed.
The most recent Air Foamposite One release from Nike was the women’s exclusive “Particle Beige” colorway, which made its retail debut on May 25th, 2018 at a price of $230. A trend that seems to be on the rise is the use of denim and the Air Foamposite One seems to have received this treatment as well. Instead of the usual Foamposite shell, the uppers of this iteration are made up of Obsidian-colored denim, with Black appearing over the heels, inner lining, laces and tongues. University Red can also be spotted over the Nike “Swoosh” and “Once Cent” logos, while it is equipped with icy Blue-colored, translucent outsoles too.
