One of the upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018 is going to be a part of the recently unveiled Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle 2018 Collection. Jordan Brand and Nike have a long-standing annual tradition of collaborating with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital since back in 2007. Every year, some of the young patients at the hospital are selected to design specific Air Jordan and Nike sneaker models to be a part of the annual Doernbecher Collection. Nike recently unveiled the Doernbecher Freestyle 2018 Collection, along with the names and photos of the children involved. The collection contains an Air Jordan and several Nike sneaker models.
For the fifth consecutive week, Drake topped the Billboard album chart ever since the release of his fifth studio album, Scorpion. More than 12,000 copies of the album have been sold in the United States ever since its release on June 29th, 2018. Upon its release, the album also broke streaming records. Drake is currently making an effort to trademark the phrase “God’s Plan,” which is the title of a song on the album, so that it may be added to a wide range of marketing materials, merchandise and promotional items. The Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Collection is somewhat comparable to Christmas since it is annual tradition that takes place around this time of the year. Like ever year, Nike continued this tradition once again in 2016 and this year, a highly coveted and iconic Air Jordan silhouette was included in the Doerbecher Freestyle Collection. This ended up being the Air Jordan 7 “Doernbecher,” which was designed by Damien Philips who was formerly a patient at Oregon’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. When designing the sneaker, Damien was inspired by hobby of guitar playing, the fact that he is currently suffering from hemophilia, and his love for the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan. The Portland, Oregon-based OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has been collaborating with Nike ever since 2004, when the Nike Doernbecher sneaker sneaker was first introduced. Twelve years have passed since then and today the Doernbecher Freestyle Collection one of the most prominent Nike releases that has raised $11 million throughout the years. Of course, the money goes to providing care for the children at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital who are not insured. While it seemed like Nike Sportswear had decided to take a break from dropping more Nike SB Dunk pairs, they were actually busy working on a brand new iteration of their skateboarding shoe model.
