The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” Has Finally Returned After 10 Years

Marvel had to bargain heavily to ensure that the Marvel Cinematic Universe could include Ego the Living Planet and Spider-Man. However, it probably will not be anytime soon the franchise will also be able to welcome Marvel comics characters like Dr. Doom, the rights to whom currently belong to 20th Century Fox. According to Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, they will not be able to use characters from the Fantastic Four or the X-Men in future Marvel Cinematic Universe films. At least Nike does not have to worry about copyright infringement since it has drawn inspiration from the Fantastic Four, including a Dr. Doom-themed Air Foamposite Pro. The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” Makes Its Comeback On Black Friday

Back in 2006, Nike had unveiled and eventually dropped a “Fantastic Four” collection. The collection had included four different models in colorways inspired by the Fantastic Four’s team members, while a fifth silhouette represented the team’s long-standing arch nemesis, Dr. Doom. The sneakerheads had been the Air Max 90 “Mr. Fantastic,” Air Force 1 Low “Invisible Woman,” Air Max 95 “Human Torch,” Dunk High “The Thing,” and the Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom.” Different sneakerheads probably have their own favorites from that collection. Ten years later, Nike has decided to bring back one of those colorways that is perfect for the annual retail shopping occasion of Black Friday.
