2017 was the year that marked the debut of the Nike LeBron 15, which was designed by Jason Petrie. Through the LeBron 15, Nike also introduced two brand new technologies, namely Battleknit uppers and a cushioning system that combines Max Air and Zoom Air. Nike first released the LeBron 15 on October 28th, 2017 in an “Ashes” colorway that retailed at a price of $185. This year, Nike surprised everyone by also launching the “LeBron Watch” program that enabled them to own various LeBron 15 PE colorways that had been seen throughout 2018. It seems that Nike is bringing back the LeBron Watch program for a second 2018–2019 season.
Following the retail debut of the “Christ The King (CTK)” PE, the Nike Zoom LeBron 3 is arriving in another original (OG) colorway. Earlier this year, rumors began circulating that Nike was bringing back the Zoom LeBron 3 “Christ The King” PE and it would actually hit the shelves. Back in 2006 when Nike first introduced this Player Exclusive colorway, only family and friends of LeBron James and other NBA players received a pair. The Zoom LeBron 3 Christ The King” was finally released on September 6th, 2018, although exclusively in New York City, where it retailed for $175 via the Nike SNKRS app.
