The Air Jordan 33 Low has just debuted among recent Air Jordan releases 2019 in two colorways, one of which is “Guo Ailun” PE. In case you do not know who Guo Ailun is, he happens to be a Chinese basketball player who plays for both the country’s national team and the Chinese Basketball Association team, the Liaoning Flying Leopards. Even his uncle Guo Shiqiang was a famous basketball player and also his coach. Guo Ailun is currently Jordan Brand’s only Chinese signature star. However, this is not the first time that an Air Jordan PE designed for him is making its way to retailers.
Amidst all the Air Jordan releases 2018 that arrived in December, the Oklahoma Sooners football team received a new Air Jordan 4 PE colorway. Back in November 2017, the Oklahoma Sooners made an announcement revealing that they were officially a Jordan Brand-sponsored football team. At the time, the Michigan Wolverines and the North Carolina Tar Heels were already representing Jordan Brand on the gridiron. Around the same time, the Florida Gators had also become a part of the Jordan Brand family. Earlier this year, the Oklahoma Sooners received a complete Air Jordan PE Collection, and now they have received a brand new PE colorway of the Air Jordan 4.
You might be aware that Jordan Brand has an entire collection of University of Oregon Ducks x Air Jordan sneakers. Jordan Brand’s legendary designer once studied at the University of Oregon and played track and field for the Oregon Ducks under coach Bill Bowerman, who is the co-founder of Nike. Tinker Hatfield has designed some of the most iconic Air Jordan iterations for the collegiate athletes of his former team. Earlier this year, Tinker Hatfield’s original sketch of the Air Jordan 3 was brought to life and now the Oregon Ducks have received this special PE iteration. Of course, it will not be joining upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018.
