It was back in 2016 when Jordan Brand launched the Air Jordan 4 Retro Premium collection and it has taken the sneaker community by storm ever since. Many of those reading this post likely remember what rap videos that came out between 1998 and 2004 used to be like. For those who do not happen to recall, rappers around that time were usually spotted rocking three particular items in their respective videos, namely jerseys, jewelry and Timberland boots. No doubt, basketball sneakers are in vogue now, but this was not always the case. Even leading brands like Nike and Jordan Brand, which are well-known for their basketball shoes, have often drawn inspiration from Timberland boots. This Seemingly Premium Upcoming Air Jordan 4 “Wheat” Iteration Looks Like Timberland Boots 

Nike is somewhat known for dropping sneakers in “Wheat” colorways, albeit not too frequently. Perhaps the most noteworthy “Wheat” sneaker iteration from Nike in recent times was that of the LeBron 12, which hit the shelves on April 4th, 2005 and retailed for a whopping $250. The inspiration behind the sneaker was apparently the Air Zoom Generation “Wheat” that LeBron James had worn on February 13th, 2004 when he and Carmelo Anthony had participated in the Rising Stars Challenge. This time around, it is not a Nike silhouette but the Air Jordan 4 that is receiving the “Wheat” treatment and it looks almost like a Timberland boot.
