This SoleFly x Jordan 88 Racer Resembles 2014’s Air Jordan 3 Retro “Lotto”

SoleFly, the Miami-based sneaker boutique, recently shared a photo on its Instagram profile (@solefly). The photo depicts a stack of lottery tickets, featuring a unique Jordan “Jumpman” branding on the top right and “SOLEFLY LOTTERY” printed beneath it. The color scheme of the stack was clearly the same as that of the SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 Retro “Lotto” from 2014, suggesting that it might finally make its retail debut. It turns out that the photo has nothing to do with the return of the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Lotto.” Rather SoleFly was hinting at an upcoming Jordan 88 Racer “Lotto,” which has just been unveiled.

After a three-year hiatus, one of the upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018 will involve SoleFly since this year marks its seventh anniversary. For its second anniversary, SoleFly collaborated with Jordan Brand to design a Spiz’ike iteration that was inspired by the Miami Hurricanes. The Air Jordan 3 Retro “Lotto” was collaboratively designed by the two in celebration of the boutique’s third anniversary. In addition to drawing inspiration from the Florida Lottery, the terry cloth lining of the Air Jordan 3 “Lotto” was inspired by the South Beach lifestyle. Of course, the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Lotto” was a family and friends-exclusive, and it will apparently remain that way.

Solefly x Jordan 88 Racer-4Although not the same, the Jordan 88 Racer you see here seems like a fairly decent alternative to the Air Jordan 3 “Lotto” from 2014. In fact, it appears to be featuring somewhat the same color scheme, including the model’s signature elephant print overlays. It is dressed up in a combination of Laser Orange, Racer Pink and White. Its insoles are the same as those of the former Air Jordan 3 iteration, featuring numbered lottery balls and “SoleFly” branding. Furthermore, instead of the Jordan “Jumpman” logo, Racer Pink-colored flamingos can be spotted on its tongues. The Racer Pink hue also covers its entire outsoles.
