Prior to the 2013 season, the W.N.B.A. had introduced a brand new logo, but they had not specified who the silhouette in the logo was representing. Different basketball enthusiasts may have had their own varying interpreations, but many of them may have deduced that the silhouette may have possibly been inspired by Swin Cash. Swin has proven to be considerably accomplished and influential in the W.N.B.A. over the years and she has spent 15 years in the association, so the end up the current season might mark her retirement. However, that does not stop her from rocking exclusive kicks, such as a never-before-seen Air Jordan 11 pair.
As a member of the Detroit Shock, Swin has already won two championships and another one as a part of the Seattle Storm. She is also a two-time Olympic gold medalist and she is also regarded as the 20 greatest female athletes in the W.N.B.A. On the coming Wednesday, i.e. September 14th, Swin will be at Madison Square Garden performing in a game after which a ceremony will be held by her current team, the New York Liberty, in honor of her accomplishments. Swin herself describes her career as “beautiful” and apparently, she would not want to change anything.
Even though sneakerheads cannot cop them, they still like getting a glimpse at sample iterations of Air Jordan models. Recently, a photo of an Air Jordan 3 sample version of its “Cool Grey” colorway had surfaced. Swin Cash recently paid a visit to the ESPN studios and she was laced up in an Air Jordan sample too, specifically a sample of the Air Jordan 11. Looking at the photo that she shared on her Instagram account @swincash, it can be seen that the uppers of this exclusive Air Jordan 11 appear to be dressed up completely in Black, including the patent leather mudguard overlays. The only contrasting elements that can be spotted are the clean White-colored midsoles and the signature Gum Rubber outsoles.
