Apparently Nike and Leo Chang were busy working on the Nike KD 8 Elite for quite some time, and by the end of February, this Elite version of Kevin Durant’s eighth signature model was finally unveiled. Nike KD 8 Elite is perhaps the most enhanced, innovative and performance-oriented installment from Kevin Durant’s signature series. Considering how explosively Kevin moves on the court, the construction of this silhouette is a combination of durable Flywire and Kevlar, while Zoom Air technology has also been incorporated into it. A month has passed since it was unveiled and now the Nike KD 8 Elite will be debuting this month.
While the KD 8 Elite is undoubtedly one of Kevin Durant’s most eye-catching signature sneakers, its standout is its calf-length sleeve that offers extra lockdown and security. However, along with bearing a striking appearance, sneakerheads also felt that it looks kind of abnormal, which is the reason that reactions to this silhouette have diverse and varied. For those who do actually like the sneaker, they will only have to wait for a couple of more days for its debuting colorway to arrive at retailers. It seems that the Swoosh took a simpler root for this silhouette’s very first iteration.
The Flyknit and Kevlar uppers of the Nike KD 8 Elite are predominantly clean white. However, all of the branding that this sneaker features, such as the Nike Swoosh on the forefoot and sock-like extended ankle, and the “KD” logo the sides, are all dressed up in navy blue. The outsoles of this sneaker, which feature the Zoom Air technology, appear to be icy blue and translucent.
This white iteration, which will arrive at retailers on April 14th, will mark the retail debut of the Nike KD 8 Elite, but two other colorways will also hit the shelves the next month. Nike will apparently drop a grey colorway on May 5th and a black colorway on May 26th.
